The government in Sindh, Pakistan, has announced a day off on December 27th to remember the death of Benazir Bhutto, a former prime minister. This day is the 16th anniversary of her passing, and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is preparing to honor her memory.

The Chief Minister’s spokesperson, Justice (r) Maqbool Baqar, declared the public holiday in line with Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary.

Sindh Declares Public Holiday in Commemoration

The official notification states that December 27th, 2023, will be a public holiday in the entire Sindh province, except for essential services. Additionally, December 26th is also declared a public holiday for Christians to observe the Day after Christmas.

To remember the day when former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was martyred, the government of Sindh has declared a public holiday on Wednesday, December 27th.
