The decision comes following a notification from the Cabinet Division, outlining varying holiday schedules for different offices. For institutions adhering to a five-day workweek, the Eid ul Fitr holidays will be observed from Wednesday to Friday. Meanwhile, offices with a six-day workweek will enjoy an extended break from Wednesday to Saturday.

In light of these holidays, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed for five consecutive days, from Wednesday through Sunday next week. This closure aligns with the nationwide holiday period announced by the SBP and the Cabinet Division.

Eid ul Fitr, one of the most significant religious festivals for Muslims worldwide, marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. During this time, families come together to celebrate, exchange gifts, and engage in charitable acts.

As businesses and financial institutions prepare for the holiday closure, individuals are encouraged to plan their transactions and activities accordingly. The extended break offers an opportunity for rest, reflection, and quality time with loved ones.
