Lahore: The Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Sher Afzal Marwat, was taken into custody in Lahore. The police arrested him at GPO Chowk outside Lahore High Court, and he has been moved to Mazang police station.

Earlier, during a press conference at Lahore High Court, Sher Afzal Marwat urged the people of Pakistan to think about their future and stand up for their rights. He emphasized that the Chairman of PTI is fighting for their rights and is willing to make sacrifices for the well-being of their children.

Marwat stated that people across the country support PTI, and today, the legal community needs to unite. He acknowledged the potential risks, saying they could be picked up or harmed, but he emphasized that such sacrifices are worthwhile for the nation’s sake. He mentioned being on bail for all cases and being aware of the tactics used against him. Marwat also hinted at significant names from Punjab considering joining PTI, with ongoing talks leading to a surprise announcement soon.

Highlighting concerns about election rigging for the past six months, Marwat referred to the May 9 incident as the root of the problem. Marwat questioned the justice in such a scenario.
