Kuwait Enforces Strict New Rule for Kuwait Work Permit

Kuwait has decided that skilled technical workers must pass practical exams before getting work permits. The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) are working together on a program to smartly recruit skilled workers. This program is important for the country’s development plan and follows the directions of First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Talal Al Khaled.

PAM will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PAAET this week. The MoU will establish the foundation for required technical and practical exams for skilled workers in Kuwait. The MoU specifies how the exams will be applied to different professions and how they will be introduced gradually. The main goal of these exams is to improve the technical skills of Kuwaiti workers, which is important for the growth of the job market.

Government Approval Pending for Official Mobile Phone Installment Programs

The first phase of this initiative will focus on the contracting industry to make it more efficient and protect Kuwaiti families from fraud and poor-quality labor. PAM plans to introduce a skill categorization system in the future, which will classify employment levels based on experience and skill. However, the details of this system are still being worked out.
