HEC Announces Law GAT 2024 Registration

HEC has announced the schedule for Law GAT 2024 registration, and the Law GAT test is scheduled for January 7, 2024.

If you are a graduate with an LLB degree and want to apply for Bar Council Registration, you must take the Law Graduate Assessment Test. The deadline for submitting online applications for LAW-GAT 2023 is December 25, 2023, through the HEC portal at

To register online, you need to visit Online applications are accepted on the HEC website. Before starting their legal careers, all LLB graduates must complete the HEC LAE-GAT.

The test will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCOs), and candidates can obtain their Roll Number Slip one week before the exam date at if they registered online through the HEC system.

HEC Announces Law GAT 2024 Registration

Candidates will receive an email or SMS with details about the exam date, time, and location. It is essential to provide a functional email address or mobile number during the online application process.

To enter the test center, you need a print copy of the roll number slip and the original CNIC. The deadline for HEC Law GAT 2024 applications is December 25, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completing the profile through the “My Profile” section and submitting the application through the “Law Graduate Assessment Test” link on the menu panel are the two procedures for application submission.
  • Applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be accepted; only SUBMITTED applications will be considered for the Law-GAT Test.
  • The test fee of Rs. 3000/- must be deposited using participating banks, ATMs, Internet banking, mobile banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, and Upaisa. After choosing the 1link 1bill Invoice payment option, follow the provided instructions.

Note: Candidates must produce a printout of their paid fee receipt via 1Link on the test day, along with their roll number, original passport, and CNIC, to be eligible to take the test.

Other Requirements:

  1. Candidates must pass the Law GAT with a score of at least 50%.
  2. Applicants may need to fulfill additional requirements according to PBC’s rules and regulations.
  3. Candidates are allowed a maximum of three attempts to pass the Law-GAT exam, which HEC administers three times a year.

Test centers include Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Sukkur, Abbottabad, Quetta, Multan, Hyderabad, Turbat, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Faisalabad, and Gilgit. Applicants can choose any test center from the list provided in the application form.
