The leader of the army in Pakistan, General Asim Munir, is having a successful visit to the United States. He is meeting important American leaders, both in the military and in the government.

So far, General Munir has met with the US Secretary of State, Defense Secretary, Deputy Secretary of State, Deputy National Security Advisor, Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, and the Secretary General of the United Nations.

This visit is making the relationship between Pakistan and the United States stronger in different areas. General Munir is also making sure that Pakistan’s opinions on important matters are heard.

During his visit, General Munir met with António Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, at the UN Headquarters in New York. Guterres welcomed him and appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and stability globally.

General Munir assured continuous support from Pakistan to the United Nations. He talked about the ongoing issues in Kashmir and Gaza, saying that peace in South Asia won’t happen until there is a peaceful solution to the Kashmir problem according to UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

He criticized India for trying to change the status of Jammu and Kashmir illegally, going against the UN Security Council Resolutions. General Munir also expressed Pakistan’s stance on the Palestine issue, urging the UN Secretary-General to gather international support for stopping the conflicts in Gaza immediately.

He emphasized the need for a two-state solution for a lasting resolution. General Munir shared concerns about innocent civilians suffering in these conflicts and not receiving enough humanitarian aid.
