FBR Announces Key Reshuffle in Senior Inland Revenue Officials

In a significant development, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has initiated a major reshuffle in its senior ranks within the Inland Revenue Service (BS-20-21). This move, effective immediately, aims to streamline operations and enhance efficiency within the revenue administration.

FBR Announces Key Reshuffle in Senior Inland Revenue Officials

According to a notification released by the FBR on Wednesday, the following appointments and transfers have been made:

  1. Syed Ghulam Abbas Kazmi: Previously serving as a Member (PR) Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad, has been reassigned as the Director General of the Directorate General of Revenue Analysis at FBR.
  2. Bakhtiar Muhammad: Formerly a Member of the FBR Headquarters in Islamabad, has been transferred and appointed as a Member (PR) at FBR.
  3. Qasim Raza Khan: Former Director General of the Directorate General of Revenue Analysis at FBR, has been assigned a new role as Member (IT) at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad.
  4. Fauzia Adil: Previously Commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals-IX) in Lahore, has been given a new position as Director-II at the Directorate of Law in Lahore.
  5. Kashif Azhar: Formerly Director-II at the Directorate of Law in Lahore, has been appointed as Commissioner Inland Revenue for Zone-IV at the Large Taxpayers Office in Multan.

These strategic appointments and transfers reflect the FBR’s commitment to optimizing its workforce for better service delivery and enforcement of tax laws across the country.
