ECP Addresses PTI's Election Grievances with Provinces

In Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, the Election Commission has recognized the worries expressed by the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) about unfairness in the lead-up to the upcoming general elections on February 8, 2024.

In response, the Election Commission has sent a letter to local election officials, top government officials, and police chiefs, telling them to solve the problems raised by PTI. These problems are related to how PTI candidates were treated and the difficulties they faced while submitting their election papers.

The letter mentioned that the Election Commission got complaints about problems in the election process. PTI candidates had a hard time submitting their papers, and there were also complaints about papers being taken away from them. The Election Commission told officials to solve these problems “according to the law.”
