CDA Member Estate Relieved of Duties Amid Allegations

Tariq Salam Marwat, the Member Estate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), has been relieved of his duties following reported underperformance and public grievances. Allegations of non-compliance with court directives have also been levied against him, according to undisclosed sources. As a result, Marwat has been instructed to promptly report to the Establishment Division, by an official notification issued by the Establishment Division.

Marwat assumed the role of Member Estate on September 13, 2023, for a stipulated tenure of three years. A member of the Pakistan Administrative Service Group Grade 19, Marwat succeeded Afzal Alam in this capacity merely six months ago. Alam’s tenure was marred by controversy surrounding plot allocations within the CDA.

Authorities within the CDA have reassured the public that the position of Member Estate will be filled promptly following Marwat’s departure.
