Protector Fee in Pakistan for Canada Work Visa

Each emigrant must deposit Rs2,500 as an insurance premium for life coverage of Rs1,000,000, valid for 5 years. Additionally, applicants pay Rs2,000 for the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) welfare fund, Rs2,500 as a registration fee, and Rs200 as the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) fee. The total cost for obtaining protection for your work visa is Rs7,200.

Process and Requirements

Applicants need to visit the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment, where they will submit documents and pay the fee for the protector stamp. The required documents include:

  1. Visa (following the host country’s procedure)
  2. Valid Passport
  3. Valid Computerized National Identity Card (photocopy accepted)
  4. Employment contract or agreement, signed by the employer or an approved undertaking by the Director General, Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment
  5. Receipts of Registration Fee, Welfare Fund, and Emigration Promotion Fee
  6. Certificate of insurance from State Life Insurance Corporation (original and duplicate copy)
